ABOUT: MIDAS GEN – Integrated design system for buildings and general structures
Integrated Design System for Buildings and General Structures midas Gen is a general-purpose structural analysis and design system. The intuitive user Interface, practical philosophy and powerful solver are some of the highlights of midas Gen. The user-oriented input/output features and a wide range of analysis capabilities enable practicing engineers and researchers to readily perform structural analysis and design for even complex and large structures. In addition, midas Gen provides design capabilities using various design standards including Indian, British, American, and Eurocodes, producing optimal design solutions.

Department of Civil Engineering has upgraded the Industry supported laboratory (PG) and has procured “Midas Gen Software- Integrated design system for buildings and general structures”. In order to understand the product and its application on long term, 3 Days Hands on training program in physical mode was scheduled at the Department of Civil Engg. for the faculty members particularly from structural Engg. stream from 08th January 2024 to 10th January’2024. The installation process has been done by on 8th Jan’2024 following to which “Faculty Training program” was conducted from 08th January 2024 to 10th January’2024 . Mr.Jatin Singh was the Trainer for Midas Gen training sessions and cleared doubts of the trainees.

The Department of Civil Engineering endeavors to nurture the spirit of research activities among our faculty members and students and for that the Department has established partnership between industries on large scale to catalyze innovation and growth in technology. This would be instrumental in creating a skilled workforce, work-ready talent with specialist knowledge and practical training, and having opportunities to work on relevant technologies and challenging problems.
With this aim and objective of creating better opportunities for students of Civil Engineering, the Department has established industry supported lab sponsored by HIT OFFICE.
About HIT OFFICE: Hit-Office management software is developed to facilitate and automate every process in a construction company. Students will be benefitted from powerful tools that will provide complete analysis elements and will facilitate the decision making in addition to increasing the productivity and profitability.
Fully modular, the construction ERP can be adapted to any type of business in the construction industry as well as to any type of project and budget.
With this aim and objective of creating better opportunities for students of Civil Engineering, the Department has established industry supported lab sponsored by HIT OFFICE.
