Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur (YCCE) with institute code 4167, established in 1984, is the flagship Engineering Institute of Meghe Group of Institutions (MGI), a well-known name in the field of Education in Central India. YCCE is an Autonomous Institute (with NAAC A++ Grade), affiliated to RTM Nagpur University.   

Some Recent Achievements of YCCE:   

  • Accredited with A++ grade by UGC NAAC (Highest Grade).  
  • All UG & PG programs have been accredited and re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi since 2003.

Procedure for B.Tech. First Year Students

For B.Tech First Year admissions under the categories of Foreign Nationals (FN), NRI, OCI, PIO, and CIWGC (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries), admissions are conducted through the official Foreign Candidate Registration (FCR) system managed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell http://fn.mahacet.org .

  1. Online Registration

                    Register on the Foreign Candidate Registration (FCR) Portal. After registration, you receive a login ID and password.

  1. Fill Application Form

                    Complete the online application form with : Personal details,  Academic details, Category selection (FN/NRI/OCI/PIO/CIWGC) etc.

  1. Upload Required Documents

                    The documents required : Academic Documents, Identity Documents etc.

  1. Document Verification

                    The CET Cell verifies uploaded documents at designated Verification centre

  1. Merit Preparation

                    Admission is generally based on: 12th PCM marks or JEE Main percentile MHT-CET score (if applicable)

  1. Seat Allotment

                    After merit preparation: Provisional allotment is published, Candidates confirm admission by paying fees and Admission letter is                        issued

  1. Reporting to College

                    Submit original documents and complete Fee payment

  1. AnEligibility Certificate can be obtained from the concerned university (RTMNU), even before the provisional admissions after submitting the application in the prescribed form along with the fee.
  2. No objection Certificate: After getting the eligibility certificate from RTM Nagpur University, the candidate is required to contact the Foreign Student Advisor of RTM Nagpur University. The candidate will be required to get a medical certificate in the prescribed format, from the Civil Surgeon, at Mayo Hospital, Nagpur, after going through some required medical tests. After receiving the medical certificate, the Foreign Student’s Advisor will direct the candidate to pay INR 40,000/- to the University, then the NOC is issued.
  • In case, the results of “A” level / XII / equivalent examination are awaited, the candidates can also apply for provisional admission. However, they are required to submit the “A” level / XII or equivalent examination certificate at the time of confirmation of admission.
  1. Admission in the Hostel, if needed, may be taken at the time of confirmation of admission. 

Documents required for provisional admission

  1. The candidate has to register on the DTE (State CET CELL) website and get a Unique ID.
  2. HSSC/XII Marks Sheet / “A” Level or equivalent certificate examination passed/appeared with English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as essential subjects.
  3. SSC/X Marks sheet / “O” level certificate or equivalent certificate.
  4. School / College Leaving / Transfer Certificate.
  5. Migration Certificate.
  6. Nationality Certificate / Citizenship Certificate.
  7. VISA (Either working / business) of NRI / Guardian of NRI.
  8. Employer Certificate or Salary Certificate of NRI.
  9. Passport copy of NRI / Guardian of NRI.
  10. Transcripts, if any (applicable for Foreign Students).
  11. NOC From RTM, Nagpur University (applicable for Foreign Nationals / PIO / OCI).
  12. Equivalence Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, Delhi (address: AIU house,16 Comrade Indrajit Gupta Marg, New Delhi-2)

  • In case of payments through NRO/NRE accounts equivalent Indian Rupee at the rate of applicable USD.
  • An additional non-refundable processing fee of rupees 10,000 is to be payable while filling the Admission request form by DD in favor of Principal Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur.
