Welcome to the Department of Applied Mathematics and Humanities at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur.

Our department is committed to providing high-quality education in Mathematics and Humanities to undergraduate engineering students. Mathematics plays a pivotal role in various engineering disciplines, addressing practical challenges and elucidating physical laws. Through our courses, we aim to cultivate a deep appreciation for mathematics and equip students with the necessary tools to tackle complex problems.

In addition to teaching, our faculty members actively engage in research and organize activities to foster student development. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded and published many research articles in reputed National, International UGC Care, WOS, SCOPUS and SCI index journals. From academic year 2023-24 the department has started as per NEP-2020 curriculum. Our curriculum includes elective courses such as Probability Theory and Statistical Inference, Combinatorial Theory, Fuzzy Set Theory, Arithmetic and Logic and Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations. Moreover, we offer foreign language options including German, Spanish, French, and Japanese.

The Humanities faculty is dedicated to nurturing a range of skills in students, including presentation, reading, listening, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.

On behalf of department of Applied Mathematics and Humanities, I take opportunity to welcome you all to our department.
