YCCE SAE Collegiate Club
YCCE SAE Collegiate Club was established on 15th of July 2021. The club was installed under the leadership of Prof. R. G. Bodkhe, Faculty Advisor (YCCE SAE Collegiate Club) and additional Faculty Advisors Prof. A. B. Amale, Dr. S. S. Khedkar, and Prof. D. Y. Shahare. The chief guests of the installation ceremony were Mr. Ramesh Pasrija; Deputy Director (SAEINDIA Western Section), Mr. Narhari Wagh; Secretary (SAEINDIA Western Section), Dr. U. P. Waghe; Principal (YCCE), Dr. Manali Kshirsagar; Principal (RGCER), Prof. Aniket Munshi; Dean (Student Activities), Dr. Jayant Giri; Head of Department (Mechanical Engineering), and Er. Nitin Banait; Director (TESLA EV Academy, Pune). As of today the club has total 60 members which consist of students from various departments viz. Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Technology, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Pragati Pusadkar and Sharvari Pathak, members of YCCE SAE Collegiate Club welcomed the chief guests of the installation ceremony. The team members of YCCE TEAM HAWKS 6.4 were congratulated on their previous success and the new members of the team along with Yash Panchbhai, Captain of TEAM HAWKS 7.5 took charge. After discussion with Office Bearers and Faculty Advisor, the Activity Calendar of the club was delivered by Mr. Ajinkya Joshi, Student Chairperson, YCCE SAE Collegiate Club. Following that the list of the office bearers and the E-Baja team was displayed. After that the Chief Guest of the ceremony Mr. Ramesh Pasrija gave a speech, followed by speech by other of our Guests i.e. Mr. Narhari Wagh, Dr. U. P. Waghe, Dr. Jayant Giri, Prof. Aniket Munshi and Er. Nitin Banait. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Mrs. S. P. Kamble

YCCE Team Hawks 6.4 of Yeshwantrao Chavan college of Engineering Nagpur, Maharashtra participated in Bharath Formula Karting Championship (BFKCT) powered by CADD Technologies School of Design Pvt. Ltd. during 10th – 13th September 2019 at Kari Motors Speedway Racetrack, Coimbatore.
Total about 100 Teams from the various states across the country participated in this event . This event was divided into types of categories Gokart (130 CC and 160 CC) and EKart . Our Students participated in EKart category. The students design and fabricated the vehicle in their own laboratory at respective institutes as per BFKCT rule book. Our students redesign, fabricated and modified the battery operated Electric vehicle by keeping view of “Zero pollution” Vehicle which helps to make green environment and best alternatives to the automobile vehicle.
To eligible for this competition various teams across the India gone through virtual rounds in which students presented their business plan initially through video conferencing in the month of July 2019. On the basis of innovation, Design and validation of vehicle team Hawks 6.4 achieved AIR -1 in virtual round. The Final competition was divided into two categories ie. Static and Dynamic event. In static event, judges checked the innovation; Vehicle’s manufacturing quality, wheel to wheel dimensions, technical inspection, weight, type of battery used in the vehicle, safety measures etc. In Dynamic events the braking & acceleration test, autocross steering and skid pad test, drag race, blind target test, wheel dismantaling and assembling and finally endurance race was carried out in which 14 teams was eligible to run on the around 2.1 kilometer track for 60 minutes continuously. Our vehicle covers the maximum distance with minimum time without skid and touch to other vehicles. Mr. Ankur Thakur was declared to be "Best Brilliant Driver Award” who consistently drives the vehicle & clears the entire race.
After the end of competition on the basis marks scored in the various test, Team Hawks 6.4 , champions/Overall Winner declared by the BFKCT authorities and awarded with a trophy and cheque prize of Rs. 77500 /-. Team Hawks 6.4 Captain Mr. Gaurav Sorte including 20 students from Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Department worked hard day night since Last season under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Prof. Rajesh Bodkhe, Mentors Prof. S. L. Bankar & Prof. S. S. Akant at Mechanical Engineering Dept. (Thermal power Laboratory), YCCE . The students design and fabricated the EKart body parts using Fibre Reinforced Plastc (FRP) materials. The cost of this ekart vehicle is about Rs. 2 Lakh and the Rs. The students contributed the fund for the manufacturing of this vehicle. Rs. 41000 /- of financial assistance provided by our management for this activity.


National Electric Kart Championship (NEKC) 2019 at Bhopal
Team Hawks 5.3 of Yeshwantrao Chavan college of Engineering Nagpur, Maharashtra participated in National Electric Kart Championship (NEKC) 2019 was jointly organized by Credible Future India pvt. Ltd., and Criptechnic Adventure sports at Rajiv Gandhi State Technological University (RGTU), Bhopal, Madhyapradesh, India during 26th – 29th March 2019. Total 36 Teams from the various states across the country participated in this event. Students design and manufactured the battery operated Electric vehicle in their own laboratory at respective institutes as per NEKC rule book. This Electric vehicle is a “Zero pollution” Vehicle which helps to make green environment and best alternatives to the automobile vehicle.

Team Hawks 5.3 Captain Mr. Mohit Fuke including 25 students from Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering Department worked hard day night since last six month under the guidance of faculty Advisor Prof. Rajesh Bodkhe, Mentors Prof. S. L. Bankar & Prof. S. S. Akant at Thermal power Laboratory, YCCE . The fabrication cost of this vehicle is about Rs. 1.65 Lakh and the financial assistance provided by our management.

“MechFiesta-2022”

MechFiesta 2022 was organized by Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) under ASME on 1st,2nd &3rd of September.
Our chief guest " Hon’ble Shri. Mohadikar Sir " and HOD ”Dr. J.P.Giri Sir” inaugurated the event .Our event started with flashmob and followed by technical events on 1st of september ,which includes Assembly Tycoon ,MAT-COMBAT, MACHINE HOURS ,PROBLEM TRIX and many more.Second day starts with sports & Cultural events , a marathon has been organized for contestant ,followed by other activities like Chess,Arm wrestling ,Musical Chairs etc. Participants have shown a great interest in these activities . A cultural event started with a treasure hunt where a lot of mind puzzling ,clues,and treasure were the part .Then followed up by Cinephiles & foodies where participants must have good knowledge of movies and a good eating habit.And evening ends with an event “Minutes to win it” where participants shows their talent like music,dance,open mic etc.
3rd September morning starts with a “Bollywood Day” where a theme of Bollywood was followed ,where everyone has taken a getup of some character related to Bollywood and then followed up by DJ.These three days of Mechfiesta had given a huge stage to the student and participants to show their talents and acquires knowledge of dthe ifferent field.

Total 2418 students all over India participated in this Virtual tech fest organized from 09th October 2021 to 11th October 21.
Mechfiesta-201 consists of various events like Minute to win it, Artmaniax, Cad Wars, Kurukshetra, 21Style Icon, Brainista, Yoga/Fitness and Innovica. Each participant received digital certificate. Winner of the event bagged some cash prizes.

“Mechfiesta-2019”

Mechanical Engineering Department of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering organises events that acknowledges technological innovations with accolades every year. Department of Mechanical Engineering in its continuous efforts to recognize excellence in areas of technology among its scholars organises ‘Mechfiesta’ every year. Participants are invited form leading technological institutes. Awards are in the form of prize money and recognition.
This year Mechfiesta-2019 was organized on 23th and 24th August 2019 at YCCE, Campus. The fest was inaugurated by Dr. S.S. Chaudhari, Head Mechanical Engineering and Mr. Pratik Gadkar,MD, FAB Lab Nagpur . Events like Lathe Beckon, Assembly Tycoon, Trusted War, Junk Yard war, CAD War, Virohana, Kurukshetra was organized by the students which really help to judge the technical ability of the students. Technical Quiz and Debate competitions were organized to judge the inherent knowledge of the students. Students from Mechanical Department organized the event “Boat Making Competition” in the memory of Late. Prof. Anant Oke.
