Electronics-DepartmentThe department of Electronics Engineering was established in 1984. Department is running one UG program and recognized Research Centre for PhD . Department has well equipped Infrastructure and Motivated faculty. The Key research areas of Department are VLSI design, Embedded System design, Digital Signal & Image Processing. Department has two active student's societies, namely IEEE Students Chapter and EESA. (Electronics Engineering Students Association). Department has MoU with various industries and interaction with various leading entrepreneurs, alumni, scientists, professors from institutes of eminence from India and abroad.
The department regularly organizes State of Art Training for Student and Faculty.

Program Educational Objectives of the program (PEO) PEOs for UG
  • Graduates will be successful in pursuing higher studies in engineering and management or will pursue career path in teaching, research or entrepreneurship.
  • Graduates will formulate, analyze and solve engineering problems critically with profound scientific and engineering knowledge and research capabilities so as to comprehend, design, create novel systems and solve collaborative multidisciplinary problems in Electronics Engineering.
  • Graduates will be engineering professionals with ethical attitude, effective communication skills and an ability to relate engineering to global issues in social context.
  • IV.Graduates will be able to develop attitude in lifelong learning towards career advancement and respond to changing social needs in a conducive academic milieu.
Program Outcomes(PO)

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

  • Engineering knowledge:Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis:Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions:Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems:Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage:Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society:Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability:Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • Ethics:Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

  • An ability to analyze & design electronic applications using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools & related softwares.
  •  An ability to develop and test electronics systems in the areas related to analog and digital electronics, signal processing, embedded systems and VLSI Design.

  • To provide students with scholarly knowledge so as to formulate, analyze and design novel systems for solving electronics engineering problems.

Key Strengths
  • Infrastructure is as per AICTE norms. Department is having a separate building of 3 floors with build-up area of 6672.52 Sq.Mtr
  • B. E. (Electronics Engineering) programme is accredited by NBA, New Delhi.
  • The laboratories in the department are well equipped to fulfil the need of undergraduate and postgraduate education
  • Department has 30 dynamic and experienced faculties, 06 Professors, 05 Associate Professors and 19 Assistant Professors.
  • 18 faculty with Ph. D. qualification
  • Seven Patent applications are filed, out of which three are published.
  • The department is approved as a Research Centre of RTMNU for Ph.D
  • The area of expertise of faculty is broad spectrum, which includes VLSI front end & backend design, Embedded System Design, Digital Signal/Image Processing.
  • EDUSAT - CDEEP centre and National mission on education through ICT(NMEICT), funded by MHRD, Govt. of India.
  • In house Workshop series is conducted and Hands-on training is given on latest technology for bringing improvement in quality of project work.
  • Department regularly organizes Short Term Training programs.
