Vision To become a global centre of excellence producing competent Electrical Engineering professionals with profound technical knowledge, innovativeness and integrity
Mission To prepare Electrical Engineering professionals by offering engineering programs that encourage development of technical skills, innovations, foster team work, productive leadership and lifelong learning by commitment to the highest possible standards of quality in the areas of teaching, advising, service and research.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO BE EL)
  • To prepare students to succeed in employment, profession and/or to pursue post graduate education in Electrical Engineering discipline in particular and allied engineering disciplines in general.
  • To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required in formulating, analyzing and solving problems in multidisciplinary field in general and electrical engineering field in particular.
  • To prepare students with engineering breadth to innovate, create and design novel systems and to contribute in providing solutions to real-life problems.
  • To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills & teamwork to become successful professional in global perspective.
  • To provide students with academic environment that makes them aware of excellence and to enable them to understand the significance of life-long learning in global perspective.
Programme Outcomes (PO BE EL) The graduate of electrical engineering program will be able to
  • Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, electrical engineering fundamentals for solution of problems in engineering.
  • Identify and investigate complex engineering problems through scientific and engineering approach using research literature, experimentation, analysis and interpretation of data to arrive at valid conclusions.
  • Develop appropriate solutions to complex engineering problems, design systems and processes satisfying health, safety, cultural, societal and environmental needs.
  • Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools for prediction and modeling of complex engineering problems.
  • Assess social, health, legal and cultural issues using reasoning skills committed to professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context for sustainable development.
  • Work effectively as an individual or as a member/leader exhibiting managerial skills in diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Communicate effectively on all engineering and societal fronts and to prepare and present effective reports and technical documentation.
  • Ability to apply engineering, management and finance principles for accomplishment of projects as an individual or team member/leader.
